The so-called "Zumpe's second action" (i.e. an early form of escapement action), whale-bone spring overdampers; originally two hand-stop levers operating damper lift and buff, one lever now missing; evidence of later modifications for pedal- or knee-operated buff stop and lid-flap swell; framed stand. Unrestored.
